Welcome to the website of the UNEX metallurgical and engineering group, a world-known manufacturer of bucket wheel excavators, an experienced supplier of heavy engineering components, a long-term partner of numerous multinational industrial corporations and a major employer in the region.
The UNEX engineering-metallurgical complex has already been helping almost 70 years to create a tradition of Czechoslovak heavy engineering. The experience and expertise of the people; together with modern technologies, robotised and automated workplaces, a number of heavy machine tools and extensive production facilities enable to efficiently produce high quality products for various industries according to drawings and requirements of the most demanding customers.
Thanks to its own engineering shops, paint shops, foundries and forging shop, UNEX is able to deliver a wide range of heavy steel structures, including assembly, final machined castings and forgings. More than 2 thousand experts work in three plants in Uničov, Olomouc and Slovak Snina. UNEX exports most of its production all over the world.
Punching with UNEX yield exceeded CZK 50,000
Approximately CZK 3500 more, compared to last year, brought the sale of punch at the Good Place for Life booth at the Christmas market in Olomouc. Exactly CZK 51,640 was collected in favour of the Olomouc branch of the United Organization of the Blind and Visually Impaired of the Czech Republic (SONS)!
Athletic Autumn at UNEX
While Mother Nature is beginning its preparations for its winter hibernation, for athletes, autumn is the time of year when they can show off what they’ve been working on and training for all summer. And so we too decided to organise several athletic events for our employees - each of them could choose an activity or activities that are dearest to their heart.
People and Environmental Protection Come First
Katapult, a legendary Czech band, released their second studio album in 1980. It contains one of Katapult's greatest hits, "Až" ("When"), in which the band looks into the "distant future" of the year 2006: Until today, Oldřich Říha sings that "…we will have factories for trees, artificial grass in front of the houses, prosperity will prevail in the world and we will be able to manufacture almost anything." And then there goes the main line that has become generally popular: "What about the children? Do they have a place to play?"
