The first CastForge trade fair at the exhibition grounds in the West German city of Stuttgart attracted 3,700 professionals who had the opportunity to view the products and services of 153 exhibitors from 18 countries. UNEX was also among the participants of the trade fair premieres, focusing on castings, forgings, and machining thereof.

“The three-day trade show had a fairly narrow focus. The visitors with whom we had the opportunity to meet had a great deal of knowledge of metallurgy, and knew exactly what they needed. For this reason, discussions were highly professional and got straight to the point. We were certainly able to keep up with the strong international competition, and we acquired valuable contacts,“ says Radek Hadra, Business Development Director.

Germany is an important export destination for UNEX. Participation in industrial and professional trade fairs in Germany and meeting with the professional public is an integral part of a proactive trade policy. At the same time, it is important to mention that Stuttgart and the surrounding area is home to a range of companies from the automotive and engineering industries, which is why the choice of location for this new trade fair is highly apt.

In light of the positive feedback both from visitors as well as from the exhibitors, the organisers decided that the second trade fair will be held in just two years, i.e. in 2020.

Thank you to all of our partners for their constructive action, and we’re looking forward to our collaboration.

UNEX will present itself on home soil in early October (1–5 October 2018) at the FOND-EX International Foundry Fair, which is a traditional part of the International Engineering Fair at the Brno Exhibition Centre. You can visit us in Pavilion Z, stand number 24. We’re looking forward to seeing you.
