The UNEX a.s. foundry laboratory carries out chemical composition evaluation of materials used. The evaluation is done spectometrically and consequently chemically analysed. Additionally, analysis of selected input basic materials and ferroalloys is carried out. We also perform mechanical tests and evaluate the metallographic structure of materials. Furthermore we observe, control and evaluate sand-mixture quality in sand laboratories.
We use the following methods of non-destructive material testing:
In production plant in Olomouc we offer 3D measurement on 3D Coordinate instrument Contura G2 with following parameters:

max. high - 1 000 mm, max. lenght - 1 600 mm, max. width - 600 mm

max. weight - 1 000 kg (it depends on shape and also on possible handling with piece)

accuracy of measurement - to 0,001 mm (it depends on shape and adopted measurement method)
Component has to be delivered in cleaned condition, without flash and foreign matter inside.

An experienced and qualified workforce, certificated by an independent certification organization in accordance with EN 473 at LEVEL II, performs all methods (MT, PT, UT, RT) of non-destructive material testing within UNEX a.s.
