UNEX Snina Dispatches the First Cranes
UNEX Snina, a subsidiary of the UNEX machinery-metallurgical complex, is currently dispatching the first cranes made in the complex of the former Vihorlat Company. From Snina in Eastern Slovakia, parts of seaport cranes are sent to Holland, made for the Kalmar Company, and the components of the overhead crane designed for the Konecranes Company go to Magdeburg in Germany.
UNEX Aims to Work in the Most Environmentally-Friendly Way
The UNEX Engineering-Metallurgical Group places a strong emphasis on ecological issues during its growth. The objective of minimising environmental load covers current production processes as well as newly-established workplaces, including actions to remedy harm to the environment that occurred over more than 50 years of the company's existence. There can be no better proof of success in this specific field than obtaining the EMS certificate and so called Integrated Permit (IPPC) for UNEX metallurgical shops in the Uničov and Moravské železárny iron and steel works in Olomouc.
UNEX starts production in Snina, Slovakia
As of October, the machine-metallurgical complex UNEX will extend its activities to Slovakia. These days, the subsidiary company UNEX Snina a.s. is completing the installation of a production line for manufacturing cranes, jib arms and base frames of mining and earth-moving machines at the premises of the former company Vihorlat in Snina, Eastern Slovakia.
UNEX has a new paint shop of large weldments
The engineering-metallurgic complex UNEX has opened a new workplace, a hall for surface finishing of large-size and high-tonnage components. The new paint shop enables execution of complete surface anti-corrosion protection of welded components of maximum dimensions of 5.35 x 7 x 32 metres (height x width x length) and weight up to 40 tons.
