UNEX CUP 2011

After a break of several years, the trade union and the company's management have resumed organising the once so popular afternoon sporting event.

This year's tournament, UNEX CUP 2011, started on 12 August at 12.00 noon and involved mainly football. 7 teams entered the tournament, namely: VP 22,  VP 23, Q, issuing offices, VP 21, VP 25, VP 29.

However, participants were also invited to compete in other disciplines such as throwing rings onto poles of various sizes, doing brain twisters and playing petanque, a game many of them were unfamiliar with. All contestants received minor prizes as a reward for their effort.

Naturally, the football tournament attracted the most attention; the seven teams were divided into groups whose winners qualified for the semi-finals and the final game. The Q - control team won this year's UNEX CUP 2011. All teams received prizes and the winners were also conferred the challenge cup.The best goalkeeper, Mr. Václav ČIKL, the best scoring player Mr. Zdeněk SLAVÍK , and the most useful player Mr. Michal POŠTULKA also received rewards. 

The new brightly coloured jerseys that the company bought for this event and various future sporting events for the staff enhanced the quality of the event and are available at the secretariat of the KOVO trade union.
