Change in UNEX Group Management
The UNEX engineering and metallurgical group, which is formed by the joint-stock companies UNEX and Moravské železárny, announces a change in the office of the CEO. With effect from 1 January 2012, the new CEO of UNEX Group will be Karel KALNÝ, the current Finance Director of both companies.
UNEX CUP 2011
After a break of several years, the trade union and the company's management have resumed organising the once so popular afternoon sporting event. This year's tournament, UNEX CUP 2011, started on 12 August at 12.00 noon and involved mainly football. 7 teams entered the tournament, namely: VP 22, VP 23, Q, issuing offices, VP 21, VP 25, VP 29.
Unex a.s. continues modernising its foundries with the test operation of new technology in the Moravské železárny foundry in Olomouc
On Monday, July 25, two new automatic casting devices for the provision of automatic casting of ductile cast iron and grey cast iron were put into test operation in Moravské železárny. At the same time the test operation of the equipment for the preparation of sand mixtures was started, including the installation of an effective filter unit for the provision of dusting-off the sand mixture transport routes. The total costs needed for the general investment of UNEX a.s. exceeded CZK 50 million.

The engineering-metallurgical complex UNEX prepared this year's Open Day, which took place within the company in Uničov-Brníčko on Sunday 1 May 2011 8 to 12 a.m.
UNEX invests millions of Czech crowns in the education of its employees
UNEX metallurgical and engineering group is going to invest almost 10 million CZK into the education of its employees in the next 23 months to cover just two projects. From the whole training run, the company expects primarily to improve the skills to meet the requirements of demanding customers and to acquire new competencies to strengthen group competitiveness in both domestic and international markets.
